NPower PA Contributes to Article on Getting Started with Blogging Software

NPower PA contributed to a joint effort by TechSoup/CompuMentor and Idealware which studied the most popular blogging software and evaluated it from a nonprofit perspective. Blogs are often seen as way for people to share their personal stories, but blog can also be used to tell your organizaton's story. "Whether showcasing your work, offering behind-the-scenes glimpse into your nonprofit, highlighting the people you serve, or advocating a particular point of view, a blog can be a "powerful and influential" communication and public-relations tool for your organization."

NPower PA Receives SEI-Eastern University Nonprofit Excellence Award

The SEI-Eastern University Award for Nonprofit Excellence was presented to NPower PA Executive Director Lisa Shulock. The award is given each year to a nonprofit organization that displays excellence in program innovation, strong leadership, evidence of measurable impact upon the community, and strong financial management. The Award for Nonprofit Excellence is a $5,000 grant funded by SEI (http://www.seic.com) .
