Girls Inc. Receives Microsoft's Unlimited Potential Grant
NPower PA member organization Girls Inc. was selected to receive Microsoft's Unlimited Potential (UP) Grant. The UP Grant helps individuals and communities around the globe achieve their goals and dreams with relevant, accessible, and affordable technologies.
NPower PA will be helping Girls Inc. provide computer training to the hundreds of young women that come to their after-school programs and mentorship programs each year. The grant will be used to provide consistent, effective curriculum content as well as qualified technology teachers.
NPower PA's 4th Annual Nonprofit Technology Awards Luncheon - October 31, 2008
NPower PA's 4th Annual Nonprofit Technology Luncheon, will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008. With over 400 executives and community leaders in attendance and over $300,000 raised for nonprofit technology, this luncheon promises to be our most exciting ever. 4th Annual Tech Volunteer Day - Thank You
Thanks to everyone who made NPower PA and The United Way of Southeastern PA's 4th Annual Tech Volunteer Day on June 13th a huge success. 140 volunteers served nearly 50 organizations making it our biggest volunteer day ever.
Thanks especially to our event sponsors Reed Technology and Information Systems and Computer Sciences Corporation. Special thanks also goes out to Iolo Technologies for donating over 1,000 copies of their System Mechanic 7 to our participating organizations and to Rohm and Haas for bringing out the most volunteers.
